Syria permits the circulation of Jordanian papers

One Palestinian killed, 23 wounded, Israel's failure to assassinate Intifada leader
One Palestinian was killed on Thursday and an israeli attempt failed to assassinate one of the leaders of the Fatah movement when his car was hit by two Israeli missiles fired by an Apachi plane in Nablus, at a time when the Israeli forces intensified its aggressions and attacks against the Palestinian residential areas in the West Bank and Gaza. This resulted in wounding 23 Palestinians and destroying several houses.

ICRC in Iraq: Key facts and activities
The ICRC has been continuously present in Iraq since 1981. Its operation was initially mainly concerned with the protection of Prisoners of War from the Iran- Iraq conflict ( 1981 to 1988) and from 1991 Gulf War. Almost 100,000 prisoners of War from the Iran, Iraq conflict and 70,000 from the 1991 Gulf War returned to their families under the auspices of the ICRC.

Businessmen from Islamic countries will hold their 8th meeting in Conakry, Guinea, next October 9 through 11. The French language Algerian daily " Le Mattain" said on Thursday that nine persons were killed and other three wounded on Wednesday at a barrier installed by gunmen on the road between Hussein and al-Muhamadeyah area, 350 Km to the southern west of the capital Algiers. Go
