Qaddafi to visit Belarus in September

A spokesman for the foreign ministry of Belarus announced that the visit of the Libyan President Muaammar al-Qaddafi which was due in August was postponed until September to the furthest extent, but giving no explanations on that.
If this visit, which was not confirmed by the Libyan side, will be made, it will be the first visit by al-Qaddafi to Europe since 1978, when he held a tour on several European communist states which were members in the former Warsaw pact.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashinko whose regime suffers an isolation imposed by the west, in October 2000 held a visit to Tripoli, Libya.
