A message from al-Assad to Mubarak on Arab conditions

President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak of Egypt on Wednesday received a message from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad relating to Arab conditions and developments on the Palestinian arena. The message was conveyed by the foreign minister Farouk al-Shara during his meeting with President Mubarak on Wednesday morning in the Egyptian city of Marsa Matrouh.

Present at the meeting were the Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Maher and Syria's ambassador to Egypt Youssef Ahmad.

Discussions dealt with bilateral relations and means of developing bilateral relations between Syria and Egypt.

Al-Shara arrived earlier in Marsa Matrouh to take part in the meeting of the Arab foreign ministers dedicated to discuss the deteriorated conditions in the occupied Arab lands because of the Israeli aggressions against the Palestinian people.
