Jerusalem Mufti praises Mubarak efforts

Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine Ikremah Sabri praised the efforts exerted by president Mubarak to support the Palestinian cause and to maintain Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa mosque.

He said that Egypt has been supporting the Palestinians, pointing out to the contacts held by Egypt and the us administration to urge it act positively and neutrally towards the Palestinian cause.

Ikremah called on the Arab, Islamic and international community to take effective action to stop the Israeli aggressions on Al-Aqsa mosque.

In statements to Sawt El-Arab Radio Tuesday from occupied Jerusalem, he said that Egypt has offered a lot and continues to offer all possible help to the Palestinian people, referring to the Egyptian contacts with the American administration to urge it to take positive and unbiased action towards the Palestinian issue.

On the 32nd anniversary of Al-Aqsa burning, he said Israel has been continuing its scheme to swallow Jerusalem and demolish Al Aqsa.

He called on international community to take swift action to stop Israeli aggression on Palestinians and sanctities in Jerusalem.
