Sudanese opposition figures arrested

The Sudanese security forces on Monday evening arrested ten members of the opposition democratic federal party led by Muhammad Othna al-Meirghani. The Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am on Tuesday quoted a security source as saying that the detainees were " holding illegal meeting in " Copper " area in Khartoum.
