Lahoud discusses with Qansouh general conditions

Lebanese President Emil Lahoud on Monday at the Presidential Baabda Palace discussed with members of the regional leadership of the Baath party in Lebanon led by the party's regional secretary Issam Qansouh general conditions in Lebanon. Stress was laid on the unity of destiny with Syria.

The regional leadership praised President Lahoud 'a national stances and the firm stand of the Lebanese army against the conspiracies hatched by " the Zionist enemy." President Lahoud also received from Qansouh the political project and the work paper to establish a wider national front.

Meantime, the Lebanese President discussed with the Lebanese minister of public works and transport Najib Meiqati the political condition and the methods the Lebanese government embarks on to deal with new developments.

The Lebanese President also discussed with the governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Riyadh Salameh development in the financial and bank- notes markets and stressed continued policy of the Lebanese central Bank aiming at strengthening monetary stability.

The Lebanese President also discussed with the delegation representing al-Wafaa resistance parliamentary bloc, general conditions in Lebanon and the bloc's stances regarding them.
