Al-Assad concludes three-day visit to Kuwait

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday returned back home following a visit to Kuwait during which he held fruitful talks with the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti crown prinve, the foreign minister and the acting speaker of the Kuwaiti parliament ( Ummah council) and other Kuwaiti officials.
Earlier in the day, the President received at his residence at Bayan palace a delegation representing the Syrian community in Kuwait. Present at the meeting was Syria's ambassador to Kuwait Ahmad Issa.
The President learnt from members of the delegation on the activities they carry out in various areas.
The President also urged members of the delegation and members of the Syrian community in Kuwait to abide by enforces rules and laws in their second homeland Kuwait.
The President also talked about the steps of development and renovation taking place in Syria and hoped that they will play a role to this process.
Meantime, the Kuwaiti minister of information Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahd al-Jaber al-Sabah said that the visit of President Bashar al-Assad to the state of Kuwait have attained its set objectives at all levels. He explained that " this visit achieved its targets at the bilateral level between the two countries regarding to economic, trade and investment issues as well as in the clear vision concerning inter- Arab conditions, the situation in the region and latest developments concerning the Palestinian issue."
In a statement to the press following President al-Assad's departure of Kuwait, the Kuwaiti minister said that although numerous topics are on the agenda of talks between the two sides, however, discussions were positive and the two sides felt greatly pleased regarding the solid and remarkable ties linking the two countries, adding that relations between Syria and Kuwait are proceeding well.
He said that a clear evidence on the success of President al-Assad's visit is extending the visit and adding another day for its program.
