Sudanese rebels held two government's fishing ships

"Salma" company for investment working in the area of fishing said on Monday that the rebel movement in South Sudan confiscated two fishing boats and held nine of its members while carrying out fishing in " Nou" lake in the area of the Higher Nile.
In a statement, the company explained that the held persons are fishing workers together with technicians and mechanics and that the two boats were not armed nor escorted by a military force as claimed by the rebel movement.
The company indicated that it is working in the area of promoting services to serving peace and stability in the provinces of the " higher Nile," and that its had started activity in 1996 and helped citizens in these areas to own hundreds of fishing boats and equipment.
In a statement, the company asked for the release of its employees held by the rebel movement and to return back the two boats. The company also called on official sides and the international organizations to interfere in order to salvage those kidnapped persons.
