Egypt's constitutional court enhances human rights
Egypt, Judicial, 8/18/2001
The Committee to Eliminate Racial Discrimination, which wrapped up its 59th session in Geneva Friday, hailed the role of the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court in enhancing guarantees for human rights and ridding discrimination.
The committee recommended that the government should continue its efforts to train those who work in the field of criminal justice to enforce the law within a spirit of respect for human rights and not to practice discrimination on ethnic or racial basis.
