Kidnapped for 7 months, she is found. after tv reporting

An 11-year old girl, who had been kidnapped for 7 months, was found. after a TV reporting.

The young girl had been kidnapped on January 15, 2001 by two women who exploited her as a beggar for several months before selling her to another beggar in Ksar Kebir, northern Morocco. Her mother who was searching for her day and night succeeded to lead the police to the two kidnappers. The two women were tried and sentenced to 5 years in jail for the kidnapping of a minor, but the still missing girl could not be spotted.

On Thursday, the Moroccan TV channel 2M aired a reporting on the case, interviewed the mother and showed photos of the young girl. The young girl, who had been found wandering, was hosted at a Casablanca center for the protection of young girls.

No later than Friday, reunion between the girl and her mother took place in the Casablanca center.
