Morocco, US resolved to enhance relations between SME
Morocco-USA, Economics, 8/18/2001
Morocco and the United States voiced resolve to enhance relations between the two countries' small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) and to give incentives to investments and to upgrade industrial cooperation.
This came at a meeting in Rabat Friday between Moroccan minister of social economy, SME and handicraft, Ahmed Lahlimi, and the US ambassador to Morocco, Margaret Tutwiler.
The meeting surveyed cooperation prospects and means of bolstering this cooperation, mainly in the field on handicraft and E-trade.
Tutwiler, who started this month her position as US extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador in Morocco, hailed the efforts made by King Mohammed VI in matters of human rights, investments and education.
The administration of president George W. Bush supports and hails ongoing reforms in Morocco under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, the US diplomat said, voicing resolve to work during her tenure for the consolidation of Moroccan-US relations.
