Three Moroccan athletes win three races at Zurich meet

Three Moroccan athletes won Friday three races at the Zurich meet, 5th phase of the golden league.
Brahim Boulami, scored the best world performance of the year on 3000 steeple, clocking 7:58.50, ahead of winner of the Edmonton world championships and Sydney Olympic games, Kenyan R.Kosgei, who clocked 8:3.22.
The three-time world champion of the 1,500 m, Hicham El Guerrouj, confirmed his supremacy again Friday evening in Zurich, covering the distance in 3:29.06.
He was followed by Kenyans Bernard Lagat and Enock Koech. The Sydney Olympic games champ, Kenya's Noah Ngeny came in twelfth.
The Edmonton world championships winner, Nezha Bidouane, came in first in the 400 m hurdles, clocking 43.98. She was followed by Ukrainian Tereshchuk Tatyana (54.38) and American Buford-Bailey Tonja (54.45).
Two other Moroccans who participated in the Zurich meet, Khalid Tighziouine and Asmae Laghzaoui, came in respectively 2nd in the 800 m race (men) and 8th in the 3000 m race (women).
