Al-Shara gets telephone calls from Hammoud, al-Khatib, Shaath

The Syrian foreign minister Farouk al-Shara on Thursday received a telephone call from the Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud Hammoud. Talks, during the telephone call dealt with the practices conducted against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Arab efforts made to crystallize a united Arab position towards the continued Israeli aggressions.
Al-Shara also received a telephone call from the Palestinian minister of planning and international co-operation in the Palestinian Authority Nabil Shaath.
Discussions dealt with the policy of repression conducted by Israel against the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
On Thursday morning al-Shara received a telephone call from his Jordanian counterpart Abdul Illah al-Khatib during which the two ministers reviewed conditions in the region and the tense situation resulting from the Israeli policies of repression. Talks dealt with the emergency meeting of the Arab foreign ministers due to be held next week.
