Some 25 items at the agenda of the council of the Arab League
Regional, Politics, 8/16/2001

Diplomatic sources at the Arab League have stressed that the agenda of the meeting of the Arab League council due to be held at the ministerial level in September this year includes 25 items, on top of which are the Palestinian question, the al-Aqsa Intifada, the developments of the Arab- Zionist conflict, Jerusalem, the question of the refugees, the settlements, the Golan, solidarity with Lebanon, the issue of the security of the region regarding the mass destruction weapons and subjugating the Israeli nuclear weapons to the international inspection system.

The sources added that AL general secretariat listed on its agenda for the first time the question of revitalizing the Arab boycott of Israel under the item of economic issues instead of listing it under the item of the Arab- Zionist conflict as well as various issues under the item of the common Arab work.
