Bilin attacks Sharon

Yousse Bilin, the former Israeli Minister of justice has launched a sharp offensive against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon because of the penetration by the Israeli army of the Palestinian city of Jenin.

He called on Foreign Minister Shimon Peres to resign immediately from the Israeli government.

The Jerusalem Post newspaper quoted Bilin as saying that offensive against Jenin is not just an offensive against the Palestinian city that played an effective role in the framework of the peace process and regional cooperation but also rather an offensive against Peres himself.

He accused Sharon of demloishing all what was achieved through peaceful efforts by Peres during the past 10 years.
