Football: Morocco, winner of 1st Arab women championship

The Moroccan women football team won the first Arab women football championships held in Alexandria when it defeated Wednesday in the final the Egyptians by 2 to null.
The two goals were netted by Sanae Chriba at the 45th minute of the game and by Kaoutar Thami at the 90th mn.
The Algerian team ranked third in these championships after a win over Jordan.
The cup of the best goalkeeper was awarded to Moroccan Zahira Lharchi while the cup of the best player went to Egyptian Marwa Ibrahim and Algerian Amina Himour.
The Jordanian team was awarded the fair-play cup.
