Moroccan committee condemns aggression against Iraq
Morocco-Iraq, Politics, 8/16/2001

The Moroccan national committee of support to Iraq has denounced the aggression policy of the United States and Great Britain against Iraq and called the UN to take moves to end this policy.

"The committee asks the UN Security Council to take the appropriate measures to put an end to this policy of aggression, in conformity with the UN charter and the international law," a statement said.

Civilian targets in southern Iraq were lately shelled by American and British crafts, killing one person and injuring 11 others.

The committee noted that military aggressions have become a practice consecrated by the US administration in dealing with the Iraqi-US conflict and a means to protract the conflict.

The committee calls the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Conference, the Non-Aligned Movement, the European Union and all living forces in the world to take moves to put an end to the US aggression policy and alleviate the sufferings of the Iraqi people, the statement said.
