Arab pioneer scouts union holds 4th congress in Morocco in 2003
Regional, Culture, 8/15/2001

The Arab union of pioneer scouts and instructresses will hold its 4th congress in Morocco in 2003.

The decision was made by the union 3rd congress held in Beirut recently.

The 3rd congress adopted a six-year plan and the activity program for the 2002-2007 period, and called Arab pioneer scouts societies to energize their cultural, social and development and environment-related activities.

The congress elected the members of the union executive board, which includes Moroccan Taoufiq Al-Gharbi, and awarded the union's cordon to Moroccan Abdelaziz Guedira and to four other pioneers of the scout movement from Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.

The congress also decided to change the name of the union from Arab union of former scouts and instructresses to the Arab union of pioneer scouts and instructresses.
