Jordan will not be affected by agreements between Syria, Iraq
Jordan-Syria, Politics, 8/15/2001
The Jordanian prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb in a statement to the London based daily al-Quds al-Arabi defended his country's distinguished relations with the Iraqi government. He ridiculed any talks speaking about Amman's being affected by the open relations currently taking place between Baghdad and Damascus.
The paper quoted Abu al- Ragheb as saying that the Syrian- Iraqi relations " are not at our expense and Baghdad- Damascus agreements do not damage us." N.
