Mauritanian weekly: Mauritania pins great hopes on Moroccan king's visit
Mauritania-Morocco, Politics, 8/14/2001
Mauritanian authorities are looking forward to a scheduled visit by King Mohammed VI next September to consolidate the new orientation given to Mauritania's relations with countries of the region, says a Mauritanian weekly.
Arab-Speaking independent weekly (12/12) observes, in its first issue, that the visit, part of the evolution in Moroccan-Mauritanian relations, is expected to contribute to the Dakar-Nouakchott-Rabat triangular axis, especially that Mauritania's relations both with Morocco and Senegal have been going these last month through an evident dynamism.
The magazine also notes that preparations are going on in cities to be visited by the sovereign, adding that bilateral relations have improved since King Mohammed's enthronement.
