Makadishu accuses Ethiopia of interfering in its internal affairs

The Somali minister of the Interior Taher Muhammad Sheikh has accused Ethiopia of interfering in the internal affairs of his country and of providing logistic and material aids to war lords in order to undermine the legitimacy represented in the rule of the Somali provisional President Abdul Qadem Salad Hassan.
In press statement, Taher Sheikh said in the course of his current visit to Egypt that Somalia will move at all levels to " unmask the Ethiopian invasion" of its territories. He called on the Arab states and the countries that geographically adjoining Somalia to make a political and economic pressure on the Ethiopian prime minister Malas Zenawi in order " to stop his flagrant intervention in the Somali affairs and to abide by the principles of good neighborliness," in the relations between the two countries.
Muhammad Sheikh continued we are determinant to maintain reconciliation and amity among all Somali factions in the south or in other parts of the country. He noted the importance that people will feel stability and government's programs to start regularly in order to re-settle the displaced Somali who paid a heavy price for the destruction of Somalia during the 10 past years.
