Al-Assad to visit Kuwait

Well-informed sources told the Kuwaiti daily al-Anbaa in its Saturday's issue that the visit of President Bashar al-Assad to Kuwait was decided on August 18 to 21.
The sources added that the Syrian and Kuwaiti sides agreed on that date following intensive contacts held during the few past days.
The sources added that the program of the visit includes a series of talks between President Bashar al-Assad with the ruler of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad, the Kuwaiti crown prince and prime minister Sheikh Saad al-Abdullah and high ranking Kuwaiti officials dealing with means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and current developments in the region especially matters relating to the tense situation in the occupied territories.
