Regional-Palestine, Politics, 8/10/2001
A delegation representing the Arab political, cultural, humanitarian, women and youths organizations, which on Monday observed a symbolic food strike in solidarity with the Palestinians and their Intifada, on Wednesday handed a message to the UN resident representative, addressed to the UN secretary general Kofi Annan.
The memorandum called for "an international move against the ugly Israeli massacres against the Palestinian people and to condemn these crimes and bring those who commit them before the international court of justice as war criminals."
The memorandum also called for ensuring immediate international protection for the Palestinians and to work for finding out a just and comprehensive solution to the Arab- Israeli conflict, according to UN resolutions concerned.
The memorandum also condemned the silence of the international community, its commissions and organizations over the Israeli crimes and the US declared bias in all fields.
