Indonesia renews support to Palestine

The Indonesian government renewed on Wednesday support to Palestine and its struggle for self-determination and against Israel's acts of aggression.
"We give unlimited support to Palestine and condemn the intolerable actions of aggression and terror committed by Israel," outgoing Foreign Minister Alwi Shihab told journalists in Jakarta Wednesday after a meeting with ambassadors and top diplomats from 15 Middle East countries.
Present at Wednesday's meeting were ambassadors and chiefs of mission from Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
The unlimited support, Minister Alwi said, included Indonesia's efforts to lobby international forums to help seek peaceful solutions for the Palestinian-Israeli conflicts as well as condemning Israeli aggressions.
"Indonesia will keep on offering its best moral support for peace solutions as mandated by the United Nations Security Council's resolutions number 338 and 242," Shihab said.
