Edmonton world championships: Morocco's Bidouane wins gold at 400m hurdles race

Morocco's athlete Nezha Bidouane become on Wednesday the world champion of the 400m hurdles race when she run the distance in 53'34," making the world best performance of the year.
She was followed by Russia's Yuliya Nosova (54'27") and Cuba's Daimi Pernia (54'51").
Bidouane, 31, has, therefore succeeded in winning her second title after that of 1997 in Athens and at the same time took her revenge of the 1999 games when she lost to Pernia at the photo-finish.
After her victory, she dedicated her title to King Mohammed VI for the care he grants to sports and athletes. She is the only athlete in the world to win the world champion title twice.
