Morocco, Senegal poised to bolster cooperation
Morocco-Senegal, Politics, 8/9/2001
Moroccan and Senegalese ministers of the interior, Ahmed El Midaoui and General Mamadou Niang, stressed the need to promote cooperation between their respective departments.
This came in a joint communique released in Rabat Wednesday at the end of talks between El Midaoui and General Niang who was on a work visit to Morocco at the head of a large delegation.
The two sides surveyed settlement and stay regulations of the two countries' nationals, the exchange of information and cooperation in matters of territory administration and local communities, and cooperation in security matters, the statement said.
They also looked into a draft cooperation program on civilians rescue operations and a project on exchanges in the field of training sessions.
The two sides stressed the need to bolster their cooperation to raise it to the level of the close ties of friendship and brotherhood binding the two countries.
