King Mohammed appoints new wali for Tetuan

Morocco's King Mohammed VI received on Tuesday at the Royal Palace in Tetuan Mohamed Rharrabi whom he appointed Wali (senior governor) of Tetuan.
On July 27, the sovereign had said at the appointment ceremony of nine other walis that the new appointments fall in continuity of the new concept of authority as defined on October 12, 2000 in Casablanca and reflect an innovative and ambitious approach. The sovereign also instructed the new walis to show initiative in decision-making, pragmatism, and watchful and acute perceptiveness, in addition to anticipation of events.
Citizens have legitimate claims and expectations related to housing, environment, sanitation, transportation, security, cultural entertainment, and, generally speaking, all that contributes to improve life quality through mustering urban development and preserving our heritage, the sovereign had insisted, stressing the need to ensure to each of the kingdom's regions conditions for an economic and social development, based on initiative, ijtihad, and solidarity to reach, the sovereign had said, a growth that would benefit the largest number of persons in equity, right and without any exclusion.
