Moussa condemns Israel's policy of state terrorism
Regional-Israel, Politics, 8/8/2001

Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa yesterday accused Israel of "state terrorism" and called for immediate international efforts to stop its assassination of Palestinians.

"The Israeli government's continued adherence to a policy of state terrorism in its declared assassinations of Palestinian individuals despite international condemnation and rejection represents a dangerous development, Moussa said in a statement released by the League.

"It requires an immediate response from the international community," he said.

Moussa called on world community to ignore Israel's rejection of an international observer force and to protect the Palestinians.

The Arab League added that Israeli missile and tank attacks, as well as the use of artillery and heavy machine- guns against Palestinian homes and interests, represented a war of attrition against Palestinian people.
