Morocco, Germany sign investment protection agreement

Morocco and Germany signed in Rabat on Monday an agreement providing for mutual protection and encouragement of investments.
Morocco's minister of economy, finance, privatization and tourism, Fathallah Oualalou, who initialed the agreement said the two countries' economic operators should be informed on investments offered by the two economies. He added Morocco offers German investors advantageous investment opportunities in tourism, telecoms, the new information technologies and agriculture.
For German ambassador in Morocco, Hans-Dieter Scheel, the accord reflects the two countries' will to give a new impetus to economic cooperation.
