A conference on the impact on globalization on the Arab states

On February 16 through 18, 2002, Muscat will host the 10th international conference for the Arab- European center on the Arab states in confrontation of economic globalization.
In a press conference he held in Cairo, the director of the center Saleh Baker al-Tayyar said that the conference will be organized, in collaboration with the Arab League, the Omani national economy ministry and the Arab two chambers of commerce in Britain and France and the Arab world Institute in Paris.
He explained that the conference aims at revealing the volume of the gap existed between the countries which were able to join the track of globalization and the Arab states. He said that there are 6 issues to be discussed by the conferees: legislation and concepts of economic globalization; the Arabs in the face of world economic forces; the Arabs and the World Trade Organization; economic globalization and the Arab condition; the Arab economy and the informatics revolution, and the Arab economy and financial and banking policies.
