Americans, British call for lifting the siege imposed on Iraq

American and British humanitarian activists observed a sit in in tents they installed before the headquarters of the UN humanitarian program in Baghdad in protest of the continued siege imposed on Iraq since more than 10 years.
The activists who are from the American organization "Voices in the Wilderness" on Monday in their sit in on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the release of UN resolution 661 according to which the UN security council imposed siege on Iraq.
A statement read by the spokesman for the group called for lifting the siege from Iraq, stressing that is the desire of many of the Americans and the British, besides being the request of the Iraqi people.
Worthy mentioning the " Voices in the Wilderness " organization which receives it financing from donations, sends regularly missions to Iraq, as an expression of its solidarity with the Iraqi people and its opposition to the siege which kill the innocent people of Iraq.
