Morocco, Local, 8/6/2001
The international fair of Moroccans settled abroad will open on Tuesday at the international fairground of Casablanca.
The fair is destined to promote contacts between the community of Moroccan expatriates and the private and state bodies and open discussion forums on various issues pertaining to their situation abroad.
The fair dedication ceremony will take place in the presence of acting chairman of the Hassan II foundation for Moroccans settled abroad, Omar Azziman, and a host of Moroccan officials.
In Rabat, a housing exhibition is also held for Moroccans living abroad to present them various housing projects, investment opportunities in the sector and procedures to purchase a house in their home country.
The housing minister explained that Moroccan expatriates will benefit from special procedures to buy and register a house. A "guide for investors settled abroad" was also made available for visitors, as a study found that 80% of investments conducted by this community are injected in the real estate sector.
