Boats collide off Algesiras, no casualties
Morocco, Local, 8/6/2001
A Moroccan ferry boat and a Spanish cargo boat collided Sunday afternoon off Algesiras, southern Spain, but no one was injured. Al-Mansour ferry boat, carrying Europe-settled Moroccans to the Southern port of Algesiras after they spend their holidays in Morocco, collided with a Spanish cargo boat loaded with cement, which was sailing towards Sebta, a Moroccan northern city still under Spanish rule.
The ferry boat was to be led to a shipyard to undergo some slight repair while the other boat continued its crossing and unloaded its cargo in Sebta.
