Algerian prime minister in Libya

An Algerian official source said that the Algerian prime minister Ali Bin Flis will preside over the Algerian delegation in the second session of the Algerian- Libyan joint committee due to be held in Sert.
This committee has not met since 1995, the Algerian source considered "the convening of the this session of the Algerian- Libyan joint committee as one of the most important stations which will work for the promotion of the cycle of cooperation between the two countries in various political, economic and cultural fields so as to be up to the level of the brotherly relations between Algeria and Libya."
The Algerian President Abdul Aziz Butaflika held a visit to Libya in 1999. The two countries are members in the Arab Maghreb federation which also includes Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania. This federation is witnessing a blockade since one year.
