An attack on the Israeli defense ministry in Tel Aviv

In reply to the systematic practices conducted by the Israeli government against the Palestinians, the Palestinian citizen, from Jerusalem, Ali al-Joulani on Sunday carried out " a suicide attack" in Tel Aviv during which 10 Israeli soldiers were wounded and one settler was killed, according to the Israeli radio.

News reports said that Ali was inside a black car carrying the " Plate of Jerusalem" when he opened fire on several Israeli soldiers at the complex of the Israeli defense ministry in Tel Aviv before he was hit by the bullets of the ministry's guards.

The news reports added that the executor of the operation opened fire from " M 16" machine gun while the soldiers were coming out of the building and he was seriously wounded in the head and died later and that the Israeli forces are searching for his partner before he would be able to flee.

Later news said that al-Joulani is ( 30 year old) and a father of three children and it was not known whether he belongs to any of the Palestinian organizations.

Since the early hours of Sunday morning, the Israeli forces continued their aggressions against the Palestinians. Shells of the Israeli tanks hit Saint Saba convent of the Orthodox church in Beit Sahour and this resulted in wounding nun Margrit( 42 year old) while other 8 Palestinians were wounded as a result of the Israeli bombardment of houses adjoining the convent.

The Israeli forces also bombarded Toulkarem and the Israeli helicopters rocketed Ame al-Khudeiri from the Hamas movement and this resulted in killing him immediately and wounding other four Palestinians because of the shells.

The Beit Jala city was intensively bombarded by the Israeli tanks and helicopters and the Palestinians retaliated by shelling the two Israeli settlements of Jeilou in Jerusalem and Tel al-Rweimdah in al- Khalil ( Hebron) and wounded several armed settlers as a result.

The Israeli forces also bombarded Rafah city and destroyed a center for the Palestinian preventive security center near Salah Eddine gate by Apache plane while the Israeli forces and warplanes started provocative maneuvers in the airspace of various areas of Gaza, Khan Younis and Rafah.

A Palestinian official said that the Israeli warplanes carried out provocative maneuvers in the airspace of Rafah after striking the headquarters of the Palestinian security center.

Meanwhile, the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon stressed that the operation of killing and liquidation continued against the Palestinians. He said that Israel will not accept any international intervention in its affairs and refuses International observation forces. Sharon asked Arafat to help him in liquidating what he called terrorists, " they are 100 " as Sharon said.

The spokesman for Sharon Ave Bazner said that the policy of assassinating the activists of the Palestinian Intifada will continue.

Deputy chairman of the Israeli security minister Jadoun Ezra said ( Maran al-Bargouthi( Fatah official who survived an Israeli assassination attempt on Saturday and an official in the Palestinian Fatah movement ) deserves death because he " is responsible for expanding the area of attacks against Israel."

Meantime, the Palestinian authority warned against the very grave conditions and " we strongly ring the bell of danger to warn all, at the regional and international levels against the dangers of the policy pursued by the Israeli government " to move promptly before the region will be in a situation than can not be controlled.

The Palestinian spokesman stressed that the government of Sharon shoulders the responsibility of what will happen in the future especially as the Palestinians have determined to withstand the oppressive siege and to defend its own existence and national rights.

Chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas movement Khaled Mashaal said that the Intifada will not stop, regardless to pressures and that it is ready to continue for years. He said that " terrorist Sharon does not have any political project and only wants to impose de facto."
