American investigators arrive in Sanaa

A new team composed of six employees at the US federal investigation office FBI arrived on Friday in Sanaa to continue investigation in the attack which targeted the US warship USS Cole on October 12, 2000.

A Yemeni official source said on Friday that the team which includes new investigators will replace the team which concluded its services in Yemen in the mid of June after it had received threats from unidentified sources.

The Yemeni daily September 26, mouthpiece of the Yemeni defense ministry announced that FBI investigators will work with their Yemeni counterparts with the aim to complete the investigation and to bring the suspected persons before the court.

Worthy mentioning that the US embassy in Sanaa was obliged to close its doors several times during 4 weeks in June and July this year of fears of aggressions targeting the Americans in Yemen.
