Sudanese die of 'sun stroke'

Some 37 persons died out of 89 who were hit by " sun strokes " in the Port Sudan city, capital of the Sudanese Red Sea province during the two past months.
The governor of the province Lt. Gen. Hatem al-Wasilah expected in a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Ayam issued on Wednesday the increase in the mortality rate because of the drastic increase in temperature which reached to 50 degree centigrade.
The governor said that mortality rate for this year because of son strokes in " the Red Sea " province has increased from the figures of last years and reached in 2000 26 death cases, while in 1999 some 35 persons died because of the " sun strokes."
