Bahrain is to be a Kingdom before 2003

The ruler of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa said that declaration of the state of Bahrain as a Kingdom will be coincided with the return back of the parliamentary life stated in the national work document, approved in a referendum held in February.
In statements he made during his recent visit to Morocco, the Bahraini crown prince added that declaring this change will be coincided with the return back of the democratic parliamentary life to Bahrain, which means before 2003. He explained that the transfer from an Emirate to a kingdom is, but an assertion to a reality. He indicated that " Bahrain's ruling system is a royal inheritance system since very old times."
