Iraq denies rocketing American planes

The chairman of the Arab and international relations at the Iraqi national council Salem al-Kubeisi on Wednesday denied the US claims speaking about Iraq's rocketing an American " AWACS " plane over the Saudi airspace, considering this news as falling in the course of the provocation to justify a new aggression against Iraq.
Replying to a question on the news broadcast by the "CBS news " on a missile fired by Iraq on a US plane in the Saudi airspace, the Iraqi official said that the series of accusations will continue within the US claim mechanism, stressing that Iraq is able to contain any military aggression and " to foil all aggressive schemes.
On Monday, the US CBS TV said that Iraq fired a missile on a US radar plane ( AWACS) in the Saudi airspace.
The news noted that the crew of the plane explained it had monitored the launching of a missile which did not achieve its target. It explained that the US state department is preparing to greatly repel the Iraqi air defense networking ( to strike it).
