Israeli sources denies news on Katyusha missiles against it
Jordan-Israel, Politics, 7/31/2001
Sources at the office of the Israeli defense minister Benjamin Bin Aleazer denied on Friday what has been published that Jordan foiled launching Katyusha missiles from its territories at Israeli housing aggregations.
The Israeli radio quoted these sources as saying that Bin Aleazer who visited Amman last week listened to reports on the Jordanian authorities foiling attempts to smuggle Katyusha missiles to the areas of the Palestinian territories. But these reports did not mention attempts to fire missiles from Jordan to Israel.
Israeli sources also said on Sunday that Bin Aleazer visit to Amman shows that Jordan is a real ally to Israel and there is a common interest for the two countries to prevent deterioration in the region.
