Sudanese President returns back al-Meirghani property

In line with the steps of openness already started by the Sudanese government with the opposition sides, the Sudanese President issued a Presidential decision stated to return back the properties of al-Meirghani family.
The Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am said that a high ranking sources told it that the government took a decision to return back all properties of al-Meirghani family in all parts of the country. The decision includes all al- Meirghani family without any exception and that necessary arrangements will be taken later to hand over the text of the decision for the lawyer of al-Meirghani family and then their properties will be handed to them.
The Sudanese government had confiscated the properties of al-Meirghani family by the end of 1991 and the beginning of 1992. This measures was made in the course of the government's confiscation of the properties of the opposition and then returning them back according to the Amnesty decision issued by the President of the Republic in 1998, with the beginning of the practical steps of the policy of dialogue started by al-Bashir government into a clear phase on national reconciliation.
