Ghali confers with South African Trade Minister

Egyptian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Youssef Boutros Ghali held a session of talks with South African Minister of Trade and Industry Erwin Alee to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral economic and trade relations.
They discussed ways to facilitate opening markets of both countries to their exports, encouraging exchanging commercial weeks and holding exhibitions in both countries.
Talks covered means of exchanging expertise in the field of promoting small-scale enterprises and handicrafts, and in the field of privatisation of public enterprises companies encouraging joint investments.
The two sides tackled means of facilitating anti-dumping practices in South Africa against Egypt's exports.
They discussed means of encouraging coordination and cooperation between COMESA and SADC.
The two sides unders cored the importance of coordinating negotiating stances of African and Arab states in order to realise best targets at the WTO negotiations for the sake of economic and social development.
