Mubarak-Fischer talks in Baden-Baden centre on ME developments

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak holds talks Friday with German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer, charge d'affaires of the German chancellery as chancellor Gerhard Schroeder is on his annual vacation. The talks, to be held in Baden-Baden, will deal with the situation in the Middle East in light of the recommendations of the G-8 industrialized states to form an international observers team to apply the Mitchell recommendations between the Palestinians and Israel.
Mahmoud Mubarak, Egypt's Ambassador in Berlin said the president will urge the German side to work through the European Union (EU) on expediting formation of an observer mechanism.
