Central bank issues throne day commemorative 250 dh coin

On the occasion of the second throne day, celebrated on Monday July 30, the Moroccan central bank "Bank Al Maghrib" issues, starting this July 31, a commemorative coin of 250 DH (US$ 22.7).
This is the first coin ever to feature the photo of King Mohammed VI, enthroned on July 30, 1999 after his father, the late king Hassan II passed away.
The bank says the new coin will have legal tender and will feature on one face the photo of king Mohammed VI with the caption in Arabic Mohammed VI, King of Morocco while on the other side it will feature the following inscription: second anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
