Danish people refuse new Israeli ambassador
Israel-Denmark, Politics, 7/28/2001
An opinion poll issued in Denmark on Friday showed that 55% of the Danish people support their government's rejection to appointing Karmi Geiloun, the former chairman of the Israeli Shabak as Israel's ambassador in Denmark because of his past and his enjoying torturing the Palestinian detainees to death.
New reports said that humanitarian legal establishments in Denmark stressed that the result of this opinion poll indicates the actual rejection of the Danish people to appointing Geiloun as an Ambassador for Israel in their country, not as a shallow rejection as claimed by sides concerned in Tel Aviv.
