A mini Arab summit expected very soon

The al-Muharrir al- Arabi weekly issued on Friday quoted an Egyptian government's source as saying in Cairo last Monday that President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt might hold very soon a tour on the Arab decision- making capitals which are Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan in order to discuss the possibility of convening an urgent Arab summit conference in order to discuss the developments of the Palestinian question before the Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon will implement his plan to break into Palestinian authority areas.

The source said that in case the convening if a pan Arab summit will be stumbled, President Mubarak will insist to convene a six- member Arab summit including the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat, the Saudi crown prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, the Jordanian King Abdullah Bin al-Hussein and the Lebanese President Emil Lahoud besides President Mubarak.
