Egyptian- al-Awqaf minister: the Koran to be translated to Hebrew

The Egyptian al-Awqaf minister Mahmoud hamdi Zaqzouq, who is also the chairman of the higher council for Islamic affairs announced that a committee was formed to translate the Koran to the Hebrew language with the aim to " reply to misunderstanding."

The Egyptian news agency quoted Zaqzouq as saying that a committee was formed to translate the meaning of the holy Koran to the Hebrew Language in order to reply all misunderstanding and also to explain.

He added that translation into Hebrew of the Koran will be ready at the Internet site of the council, noting that the council has a " plan to publish the religious books and translation of the meaning of the Koran by all languages."

He added that so far some 56,000 mosques are in the ministry and that number of mosques to be included to the ministry will increase to 60,000 by the of this year.
