Morocco and the United Arab Emirates have decided to set up a partnership commission for investments, it was announced in Rabat on Wednesday at a meeting between Morocco's premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, and a UAE official delegation.

The commission, scheduled to start proceedings the soonest, will conduct the needed studies for investment projects and carry out projects in partnership between the two Arab states' private sectors, Youssoufi explained at the meeting with visiting deputy-governor of Dubai and UAE finance and industry minister, Sheikh Hamdane Ibn Rachid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Hamdane, who wound up Wednesday a three-day visit to Morocco, had been received by King Mohammed VI.

The meeting with the king explored investment opportunities for the United Arab Emirates in Morocco. A special attention was given to ongoing infrastructure and tourism projects in northern Morocco.

The UAE official also met with head of the royal office, Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi and the king's advisor, Andre Azoulay.

Sheikh Al-Maktoum's delegation included telecommunication minister, Ahmed Hamid Tair, and officials from the Dubai chamber of commerce, the town council, public administrations and private enterprises.
