King Mohammed meets Moussa, voices disappointment over tragic developments in Middle East

Morocco's King Mohammed VI expressed at a meeting with Arab League secretary general, Amr Moussa, disappointment over tragic developments in the Palestinian issue and aggressions against the Palestinian people.

The king stressed the need to carry on the support to the Palestinian people and to the peace process.

He also called for activating Arab action and improving its mechanisms, in accordance with an approach enjoying the unanimity of all Arab leaders and matching developments on the international scene.

Moussa also underscored the role played by king Mohammed VI in supporting Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian cause, and the sovereign's distinguished stances regarding the Palestinian people struggle and the Palestinian authority.

The secretary general of the pan-Arab organization is touring Maghreb countries to explain his project to restructure the league and reform its organization structures, agencies and bodies. He said he will submit to Moroccan officials' appreciation reforms meant to increase the efficiency of the league action.

The audience was attended by minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, advisor to the king, Mohamed Mouatassim, and director of the sovereign's office, Mohamed Rochdi Chraibi.
