A preliminary meeting for the board of the joint Syrian- Jordanian committee

The board of the joint Syrian- Jordanian committee for industry held a meeting on Wednesday chaired by the Syrian minister of industry Ahmad Hamou and the Jordanian director of commerce and industry, in preparation for the meeting of the company's general assembly due to be held today.

Minister Hamou and members of the accompanying delegation arrived in Amman on Thursday to attend the two meetings of the board and the general assembly of the joint Syrian- Jordanian committee for industry which will last for two days.

In a statement to SANA's correspondent in Amman, the minister said that the mission of the Syrian delegation is to attend the two said meetings with the aim to be acquainted with work progress in the said company and to follow up its production and investment plans as well as to expand the industrial base between the two countries through studying the establishment of new projects. He explained:" we have studies for several industrial projects and we will try to choose the best that meet the need of the local consumer in Syria and Jordan," SANA reported.
